For many moms, Mother’s Day is a nice holiday, but once the cards and gifts are exchanged, things quickly return to normal. If you really want to impress a mom, you’ve got to get a little creative!

It’s no secret that we are living in a worrying, stressful, and confusing time. The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has shaken the world and changed pretty much everything, piling a lot of stress and pressure on new moms and their families.

The admiration and respect for mothers has been more than hard-earned, and the beauty about how we perceive our moms seems to be a natural order of things. Mothers just know how to turn adversity into victory, tears of sadness into tears of joy, and a divided family into a united front.

Bringing a new baby into the world is a monumental change for families, especially if you already have a young child at home.

"You didn't have to accept me. In fact, I am the exact opposite of what you expected and it would have been easy to blame me for the choices your son made after meeting me."

"You can plan all you want but there is always something that changes or goes slightly off those plans."

Good Friday reminds us all of the importance of forgiveness. Let’s take this time to practice forgiveness in our families, with our children, and with ourselves.

From Easter egg hunts, to visits to the Easter bunny, to big family dinners, it can be easy for your little ones to get overloaded with sugary treats - but there are plenty of other great ways to celebrate without candy!

The pandemic doesn’t have to mean a halt to your child’s learning - there are many great ways you can encourage your child to have meaningful, educational experiences without the use of a screen.

While it isn't their bodies and time involved in the direct action itself, I find it vital to include my partner in the conversation. We both agree it's a woman's choice at the end of the day, but if moms need more societal support for breastfeeding, we do have to involve more than just women in the conversation.
