This was neigh on impossible to use. When we were finally able to get prints after multiple tries, the clay was so dry that you can barely see the print for the wrinkles in the clay. I’m so disappointed because I had wanted the one week footprint for my baby.

The kit is nice, the recipe is a bit lighter. In my experience I melted the dough for 10 minutes. , pass the roller alternately vertically and horizontally without too much support at the end to smoothPrise the prints without too much force no more (some cracks may appear on the prints) / same for letters )

Like others said the clay came pretty dry.. that being said if you read the instructions it says to re-activate the clay you add a small amount of olive oil and work it in over 2-3 minutes. I found breaking it into smaller piece worked really well. Took a bit of time but made the clay so soft and easy to work with. Such a good product if you follow the instructions!!

It is positive that the impression material becomes soft after kneading. We were able to mold the foot and hand of our almost 2-month-old son without much pressure. Although I have to say that he has quite a lot of strength and helped quite a bit himself. The wooden roller is a bit too small to roll out the mass nice and smooth. We just did this with a rolling pin. That worked well. Even after drying, the result is very nice, no cracks or the like. We had tried it with normal plaster beforehand. That didn't work well at all. Unfortunately, the negative is that the passe-partout doesn't fit well. If you use all the space for the imprints, part of the imprints will be covered by the passe-partout. In addition, there could be a little more impression material. This makes it easier to roll out. Also, I think the price is quite high. I ordered 3 cheaper sets (8 euros) which worked even better because there was more impression compound. But there were no letters there and the front panel is made of acrylic and the frame is not quite as high quality. For the price difference, it's perfectly fine.

Really neat keepsake! But if you are like me and were not able to get the clay totally smooth, here's a tip I accidentally discovered! Roll the clay as best as you can, and then take it out and flip it! The opposite side has been pressed against the flat side in the frame, and is beautiful and smooth to use!

Do not trust bad reviews! I did it and it was completely wrong. I am absolutely sure that people who bought it and wrote that it is difficult to do it or who had these bad results, they just didn’t follow the instructions. First of all, the seller provided more then detailed explanation how to do it. Second, I think that because of wrong reviews the seller sent the special letter how to do it. Third, it is easy and interesting. I did all the steps, but instead of 3 min I kneaded the clay 5 min. I received the great result! I am glad that I brought it!

I really wanted some way to capture baby's foot and handprint. With my first I have her prints but no way to display them. My next is due in the next 2 weeks.
