Banana puree: Bananas, especially overripe ones, are a wonderful first food. They are smooth and easy to blend, and you can mix them with a variety of other foods such as oatmeal or other fruit purees.
Sweet potato puree: Sweet potatoes are full of nutrients and tend to have a sweet, palatable flavor for beginning eaters. Peel and roast or steam some potatoes and then blend with water for an easy and healthy meal.
Butternut squash puree: Different varieties of squash are also perfect for beginning eaters. Butternut squash has a light flavor and blends easily when cooked.
